A new career in remotely operated vehicles – take a closer look
Interesting and challenging career: Good earning potential
Are you looking for an interesting and challenging career that allows you to make the most of your technical abilities and provides good earning potential? Train as an ROV pilot technician at The Underwater Centre and you’ll be well on your way to a rewarding new career.
Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) are unmanned submersibles controlled from the surface by skilled pilots. ROVs are widely used in the offshore oil and gas industry, as well as in civil engineering, underwater archaeology, police work, and in the renewable energy sector. The subsea industry’s future will depend on having new, skilled personnel as it continues to develop.
Comprehensive, practical, industry training in ROV operations – fully preparing you
Our training covers all aspects of ROV operations, including maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and piloting. The extensive operational experience gained on our ROV courses means that, as well as being developed and run in accordance with guidelines set out by the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA), our courses go beyond those guidelines to further prepare you for the role of ROV pilot technician. We’re also in regular contact with the major subsea companies to make sure that you’re learning exactly what they need.
You can now give yourself the very best preparation for your ROV career and gain a competitive advantage with our new and unique ROV Operations Course with a work class ROV (WROV) focus.
