Overview

3 week ROV Pilot Tech: $9,375 inc GST – special offer

This is an intensive three week course aimed at students who already have evidence of a good grounding in electronics, engineering or hydraulics. This course takes your technical expertise and shows you how to apply it to a range of ROV systems – such as those you will find once you are working as an ROV Pilot Technician.

Throughout this course, you will be learning how to pilot an inspection class ROV in offshore conditions. All flying exercises are conducted as if for real, giving you invaluable live experience. As well as flying using a Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS), flying exercises include search and recovery (using ROV manipulators and other methods), sonar mapping exercises, site survey exercises, zero visibility flying exercises, flying with dive bells, vessels and divers, giving you practical preparation for the role of ROV Pilot Technician.

This combination of hands-on experience and training in the key competencies required of ROV personnel entering the industry will ultimately make you more employable.
